Multi-award-winning Native American-style flute artist Timothy J.P. Gomez will perform at FENCE on Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m.
Timothy incorporates his own interpretations of world music into a wide variety of original compositions and elevates the Native American flute to new levels. He uses unique techniques to capture the romance and emotion of this very special historical instrument.
Timothy grew up in the desert landscape near El Paso, Texas, where he fell in love with both the Native American-style flute and nature, both of which are reflected in his compositions and performances. Since 2014, Timothy has released four albums for which he has received numerous accolades and awards. While Timothy has been performing across the U.S., this will be his first performance in western North Carolina. Featured with Timothy in concert will be Asheville’s own Dustin Selva of Elemental Flutes.
Timothy will also hold a 4 p.m. workshop the same day for those interested in “Discovering Your Inner Melodies.” To reserve your spot in the concert and/or workshop, contact Judith Kerns at jkerns101@gmail.com
