Landrum— Karon Whittle Bishop, 82, of Landrum, SC, passed away on April 8, 2024.

She was born in Gaffney, SC, on March 30th, 1942, to the late, James and Grace Jackson Whittle.

In addition to her parents, Karon is predeceased by her husband, Robert Bishop, and two brothers, Stanley Whittle and Jimmy Whittle.

Karon retired from Bellsouth and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gowensville, SC.

She enjoyed her hobbies of quilting and painting.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Jarvis of Rutherfordton, NC, and her sister, Wanda Twitty, of Ridgeland, SC.

Karon’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes scattered with her husband.

The family invites friends to drop by Karon’s home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2- 6 pm. Her address is 349 Sunset Rd. in Landrum, SC.
