COLUMBUS—One of the newest businesses in Columbus is Tranquil Hydration & Wellness, inside the new 202 Salon & Spa location at 191 E. Mills St., next to Calvert’s Kitchen. 

Tranquil Hydration & Wellness is owned and operated by Melissa Henderson of Mill Spring. A registered nurse with thirty years of experience who began looking into opening an IV Hydration business several years ago, she wanted to find a way to make it more affordable than the ones in big cities. 

“Eventually, I discovered a pharmaceutical company that could help us make the treatments more affordable,” said Henderson. “The medical boards then approved us, allowing us to offer IV infusions, which help our customers rehydrate, improve their energy levels, and provide them with much-needed vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.”

Along with IV Hydration, Tranquil also offers  B12 and Vitamin D shots and additional therapies such as Halotherapy or salt therapy, which helps with breathing problems such as asthma. “The 20-minute sessions are like spending a day at the beach,” adds Henderson. 

They offer Red Light Therapy, a 20-minute form of phototherapy used to treat skin conditions such as acne and eczema while also revitalizing the cells, which can lead to other health benefits. 

202 Salon & Spa, owned and operated by Abby Ealy, recently moved from the Columbus Commons. It offers a wide variety of services, including hair styling for both men and women, hair coloring, and extensions. Ealy also specializes in keratin hair treatments. 

Ealy says, “We’re a one-stop shop offering the full salon and spa experience where you can get everything done. We also love our new, more visible location here on E. Mills St. and hope anyone interested will stop by and inquire about our services or make an appointment.”

The addition of Tranquil enhances the overall spa experience, which includes other local businesses. Polished Pleasurez is run by Heather Milline, a licensed esthetician and nail technician who provides lashes, waxing, facials, manicures, and pedicures, and Rita’s Beauty Line is owned by Rita Yesse, a licensed aesthetician specializing in skin care services and cosmetic permanent makeup.
