Tryon— Carol Page Lawrence of Tryon passed away, Wednesday morning February 28th, 2024, at upstate community hospice house.
Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of Britton and Lorraine Page. She was a graduate of Eastern Carolina University, and a master’s graduate of Western Carolina University. Carol spent many years working as a teacher at Tryon High School and Polk County High School where she deeply impacted the local community. Carol was a member of the Magnolia gardening club. She found solace and joy spending time in her personal garden as well as spending time with her friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Carol was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Lawrence and son Justin Lawrence she is survived by a son Britt Lawrence, daughter-in-law Karen Lawrence, brother-in-law Fred Lawrence and 6 grandchildren Skyler Lawrence, Cora Lawrence, Caroline Lawrence, Claire Lawrence, Jameson Lawrence, and Isabelle Lawrence.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, March 2, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
