In Polk County District Court on February 14, 2024, with Judge Abe Hudson presiding, 103 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.        

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

 

Alayris Davis was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Davis had to surrender their firearm and was fined court costs.

 

Collin Hill Galloway was convicted of driving while impaired. Galloway was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Galloway must also complete 24 hours of community service and was fined $50 plus court costs. 

 

Joshua Goldsberry was convicted of speeding. Goldsberry was fined $20 plus court costs. 

 

Ashley Nicole Horne was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Horne was sentenced to 3 days in jail, with 3 days credit time served. 

 

Kyle Hutchmaker was convicted of felony assault by strangulation. Hutchmaker was sentenced to 5 to 15 months in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation. Hutchmaker must also complete domestic violence classes and 24 hours of community service.

 

Amber Louise Jackson was convicted of driving without a license. Jackson was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Matthew Kensland was convicted of driving without a license. Kensland was fined $30 plus court costs. 

 

Patricia Ann Ledford was convicted of felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Ledford was sentenced to 5 to 15 months in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Ledford must also complete 24 hours of community service. 

 

Lara Ryan Tobias was convicted of driving while impaired. Tobias was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Tobias must also complete 24 hours of community service and was fined $50 plus court costs.
