LANDRUM—P3 Animal Assistance Foundation will hold its inaugural Paws in Landrum pet expo on Saturday, March 9.
Taking place inside the Landrum Farmers Market, located at 221 West Rutherford St., the expo will feature food vendors, crafters selling personalized and pet-themed products, vets, groomers, pet sitters, animal trainers and pet food and pet supply distributors. There will also be pet-themed carnival games by the Landrum High School ROTC, face painting and pet photography.
The event will also host seven local animal rescues with animals up for adoption and local wildlife rehabilitators will have live animals on site.
“Our deadline for sponsors and vendors is February 15, so some additional exhibits may be added,” said Kelly Vinesett, co-owner of the P3 Retail for Rescue store in Landrum.
Currently, Paws in Landrum has sponsorships from the City of Landrum, Claussen and Walters, Southern Pet, Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital, All Seasons Veterinary Hospital and P3 Animal Assistance Foundation as well as various personal individual sponsors and donors.
Paws, Prayers and Promises, one of the rescues that will be on hand at the event, is a nonprofit organization that works in the community through humane education, assistance with special cases, adoptions, community awareness, spay and neuter services and fostering of animals for people facing the ends of their lives until forever homes can be found. P3 Retail for Rescue, an upscale non-profit donation store that benefits animals located in downtown Landrum, supports P3’s mission.
The Paws in Landrum pet expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine. Pets are welcome but must be on a short leash (no retractable leashes allowed), and must be controlled at all times.
