Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The next Live@Lanier will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 1 p.m. at Lanier Library, and will focus on the making of podcasts. A podcast is a series of free digital audio files that subscribers hear on a computer or mobile device whenever convenient. Anyone with something to say can become a podcaster. This event is for those wanting to broadcast what’s on their minds or simply want to learn more about the what, why, who, and how of podcasting.
POLK LORE is a local podcast that broadcasts news, features and fresh perspectives about the culture, politics and geography of Polk County. Creator and host James Hrynyshyn has more than a 25-year communications career that includes science editor, writer, consultant and independent journalist.
Recent episodes of POLK LORE include “Pushing the [musical] Envelope at Tryon Presbyterian,” “Democracy on the Ballot: Jake Johnson Does Some Explaining,” and “Who Speaks for the Trees?”
With a talent for turning technology into engaging messages, James will clearly explain all that it takes to get “on the air.”
Lanier Library is located at 72 Chestnut St. in Tryon. For more information call 828-859-9535 or visit thelanierlibrary.org.
