An upcoming event at the local farmers market will help the small chirpers in your yard.

The “Winter Is For the Birds!” craft event is set for Saturday, February 3, at the Columbus Farmers Market. This will be a family-friendly make-and-take craft for kids and adults.

Haven Hill Farms will supply the lard and pine cones, Polk County will supply the peanut butter, and Columbus Tractor & Supply will supply the bird seed. 

This will be a perfect craft to hang outside your window to watch the birds enjoy the seed during the cold weather.

The farmers market is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Iron Key Brewing, located at 135 Locust St. in Columbus.
