It proved a common sight Friday at Polk County – Mia Bradley swishing a 3-pointer, then casually trotting back to the opposite end of the court.
Bradley hit all five of her 3-point attempts – one short of the school record – in helping lead the Wolverines to an easy 59-24 victory over Burns in a non-conference clash.
Bradley finished with 17 points. Her first triple late in the first quarter lifted Polk County (8-6) to a 17-7 lead, and the Wolverines never allowed the lead to slip again out of double digits.
Burns dropped to 6-7 with the loss and saw a three-game winning streak end.
Polk found success pushing the ball inside, with Kiera Littlejohn scoring 10 points. The Wolverines also got the usual contribution from sophomore guard Bailey Staton, who had a game-high 21 points, including two 3-pointers as Polk finished 8-of-11 from the 3-point line.
Kylie Lewis added six points, with Charley Dusenbury scoring five.
Littlejohn and Lewis each grabbed seven rebounds, with Dusenbury handing out five assists and Staton distributing four.
Polk County will return to Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play on Tuesday, hosting Chase.
