Polk County’s Sophia Overholt and Morgan Yoder have earned all-state volleyball recognition from HighSchoolOT.com.
The statewide high school sports website tabbed Overholt as a second-team all-state selection and Yoder as a third-team all-state selection after a season in which the two helped lead Polk County to the state 1A championship.
Overholt, a junior outside hitter, finished the second with 285 kills and 361 digs. She was named the MVP of the state championship match. Yoder, a junior middle blocker, had 330 kills and 94 blocks while leading the state in hitting percentage.
Among area players, Brevard’s Meleah Foster earned first-team selection while North Henderson’s Bailey Rowe and West Henderson’s Emma Bryson were second-team picks and Brevard’s Claire Wilson received third-team selection.
