In Polk County District Court on December 6, 2023, with Judge Mack Brittian presiding, 121 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Eduardo Aguilar was convicted of driving while impaired. Aguilar was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Aguilar must also complete 24 hours of community service and a substance abuse assessment, and was fined $100 plus court costs.
Stephen Barczewski was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Barczewski was sentenced to 45 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Barczewski may have no contact with the victim or be on their property, and was fined $50 plus court costs.
Cody Alexander Burke was convicted of attempted possession of a firearm by a felon. Burke was sentenced to 8 to 19 months in jail, suspended for 24 months of supervised probation, with five days credit time served. Burke was also fined $300 plus court costs.
Angela Elizabeth Dickey was convicted of driving without a license. Dickey was fined $30 plus court costs.
Thomas Lee Franks was convicted of committing injury to personal property over $200. Franks was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 18 months of supervised probation. Franks must also pay $2,000 in restitution.
Shalies Gallaher was convicted of driving while impaired. Gallaher was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Gallaher must also complete a substance abuse assessment and was fined $100 plus court costs.
Jillian Greene was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Greene was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.
Dawn Starr Ledbetter was convicted of unsafe movement. Ledbetter was fined $25 plus court costs.
Margarito Mendez was convicted of failure to notify the DMV of an address change. Mendez was fined $25 plus court costs.
Elijah Storm Moore was convicted of driving after consuming alcohol under the age of 21. Moore was sentenced to 45 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Moore was also fined $100 plus court costs.
Robert Dylan Packer was convicted of driving without a license. Packer was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.
Katherine Pettengill was convicted of driving without a license. Pettengill was sentenced to 45 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Pettengill was also fined $50 plus court costs.
Alexis Simmons was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Simmons was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Simmons was also fined $50 plus court costs.
Kourtnee Shane Taylor was convicted of driving while impaired. Taylor was sentenced to 120 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Taylor must also perform 72 hours of community service, and was fined $300 plus court costs.
Jerry Lewis Toney was convicted of disorderly conduct. Toney was sentenced to four days in jail, with four days credit time served.
Robert Brandon Webb was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Webb was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 23 days credit time served.
Chelsea Leigh Wilson was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson was sentenced to two days in jail, with two days credit time served.
Jaylan Brady was convicted of failure to stop at a stop sign or flashing red light. Brady was fined $25 plus court costs.
