Captain Scott Holt announced as interim police chief
TRYON— Earlier this month, Police Chief Randall Hodge resigned from the Tryon Police Department. Hodge’s last day was Friday, December 1.
Hodge joined the Tryon Police Department in 2017, and had served as chief since October of last year, after former chief Jeff Arrowood retired. Captain Scott Holt has been appointed as interim police chief.
“I remember Randall back when he was in high school and even back then he was a great guy,” Tryon Mayor Alan Peoples said on Monday. “I wish him the best of luck.”
A new police chief will be named by the town manager in the near future, said Peoples.
