POLK COUNTY—Tryon International Film Festival has named the winners of the first annual Awe Project.

The Awe Project is a student filmmaking competition that invites North and South Carolina high school and college students to submit a 1-to-2-minute film about something that inspires them and brings them a sense of awe. There is no fee to participate.

High school senior Erica Ellis (Artios Academies of Greenville, S.C.) and college senior Audrey Buffington (Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C.) were this year’s winners.
