Polk County High School’s girls tennis team to hold fundraising event
COLUMBUS—The Polk County High School girls tennis team will hold a carwash fundraiser on Saturday, September 16.
“We have been needing new balls and a new ball machine for the past couple of seasons, and a car wash is a great way for the team members to be involved in the money-making process,” said team member Sarah Vitale.
Vouchers must be purchased in advance from one of the 11 members of the tennis team and can be redeemed at the event.
“This money is very important to us,” said team member Rosie LaFauci. “Since we have such a limited budget, this extra money coming in will be crucial for buying balls and hoppers, the tubes or crates for picking up balls. We are all so excited for this help to our team!”
The car wash fundraiser will be held at the Advance Auto Parts store at 211 W Mills St. in Columbus from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Vouchers are $10 each. Cash and checks are accepted, and donations are greatly appreciated. More information can be found by calling Polk County High School at (828) 894-2525.
