VOLLEYBALL: Polk smashes Hendersonville in conference sweep

Polk County rolled Thursday through its home matchup with Hendersonville, sweeping the Bearcats with relative ease in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference meeting.
The Wolverines took a 25-15, 25-7, 25-7 victory, upping their record to 8-0 overall, 2-0 in MF7 play. The Bearcats fell to 1-4, 1-1.
Morgan Yoder had 12 kills and four digs for Polk County, with Ada Kelley recording 11 kills. Sophia Overholt had five kills, 10 digs and three aces while Mia Bradley added four kills and four aces.
Zaelea Eller had 21 assists, with Charley Dusenbury adding 13. Elena Carroll had 13 digs.
The match kicked off a run of five straight home games for Polk County. The next one is Tuesday, with the Wolverines hosting R-S Central at 5:30 p.m. That match will also be streamed live on NFHS Network.
