The concert will feature some of the best in local bluegrass, including the King James Boys, Golden Valley Crusaders, Colt Creek and Mike Upright.

While admission is free, donations are accepted and will go towards supporting the Columbus Benevolence Fund, which helps families in need in Polk County. Food will be available for purchase, as well.

In addition to the musical performances, a special patriotic remembrance ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place on the outdoor stage at Veterans Park, but it will be moved inside the firehouse in case of rain.

The event organizers emphasize the importance of remembering the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and honoring the lives lost. The attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a quiet field in Pennsylvania have left a lasting impact on the country, and this event serves as a way to reflect on American identity, patriotism, and service.

The event is sponsored by Sew Classy, Don Mintz Builders, Watsons Furniture, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Tryon IGA, Tryon Auto Care, and McFarland Funeral Home. For more information, call James Metcalf at (828) 817-3722.
