Polk, Bessemer City hold joint practice

Polk County’s football program hit the field against an opponent for the first time on Wednesday, holding a joint practice with Bessemer City.

The two teams staged a number of drills against each other before closing the two-hour session with full scrimmage action.

The Wolverines are set to take part Friday in their final preseason action, facing T.C. Roberson at Erwin. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
