Polk County District Court results – July 26, 2023

In Polk County District Court on July 26, 2023, with Judge Kim Justice presiding, 164 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Gregorio Rico Aguilar was convicted of failure to notify the DMV of an address change. Aguilar was fined court costs.

 

Amanda Branum was convicted of identity theft. Branum was convicted of one day in jail, with one day credit time served.

 

Colin Ross Cumbo was convicted of driving while impaired. Cumbo was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, and 24 hours of community service.

 

Nicolas De La Cruz was convicted of fleeing or eluding arrest. De La Cruz was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Dejua Doggett-Edwards was convicted of interfering with emergency communication. Doggett-Edwards was sentenced to eight days in jail, with eight days credit time served.

 

Thomas Lee Franks was convicted of failure to comply with monies. Franks was fined $150.

 

Christopher Gillie was convicted of driving while impaired. Gillie was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, must complete a substance abuse treatment program and was fined $200 plus court costs.

 

Marcus Gossett was convicted of possession of marijuana greater than ½ oz but less than 1 ½ oz. Gossett was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation.

 

Aysia Monet Hannon was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. Hannon was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Stephen Bryan Henson was convicted of failure to stop at a stop sign or red light. Henson was fined $25 plus court costs.

 

Jamie Wayne Langley was convicted of possession of a Schedule 6 controlled substance. Langley was sentenced to 4 to 14 months in jail, suspended for 18 months of supervised probation and must complete a substance abuse treatment program.

 

Vanessa Ann Ledbetter was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ledbetter was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.

 

Jordan Rodriguez was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Rodriguez was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served. 

 

Gavin Brock Shelton was convicted of fleeing or eluding arrest. Shelton was sentenced to 5 to 15 months in jail, suspended for 18 months of supervised probation with 30 days credit time served. Shelton must also complete a substance abuse treatment program. 

 

Caden Smith Theodore was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Theodore was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day credit time served.

 

Kelly Helen Waldrop was convicted of misdemeanor child abuse. Waldrop was sentenced to two days in jail, with two days credit time served.
