Admitted to providing illegal drugs to Mill Spring woman
POLK COUNTY— On Friday, July 28, a Landrum man was arrested and charged with death by distribution after admitting to providing illegal drugs to a Polk County woman which ultimately led to her death.
On May 9,2022, deputies responded to a reported overdose in the Mill Spring community. Upon arrival deputies located a deceased female and identified her as Christina Mike Jackson, 46 of Mill Spring.
In the following months, Polk County’s Criminal Investigation Division and Narcotics Division conducted numerous follow up investigations in Polk and Spartanburg counties before arresting Joshua Sullivent Franklin, 47 of Landrum, when he admitted to providing illegal drugs to the deceased.
Franklin was arrested in Greenville and charged with death by distribution of a controlled substance. He was transported to Polk County Detention Center where he is currently being held under a $80,000 secured bond. His next court date will be on Wednesday, August 16.
