Tryon– Pamela (Pam) Louise Weimann, 79, of Tryon, NC, died in her home surrounded by family on June 21st following a long illness.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Pam was the eldest daughter of the late Henry and Dolores Oman. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are her beloved husband, Thomas, her brother Gary Oman and her brother-in-law, Michael Damiano.
Pam was a loyal and loving family member and friend, and a person of strong character and high moral code. She was equally demanding of excellence and loving actions both at home and at work. Pam was an industrious homebody, always creating a variety of finely worked and impressive handicrafts, tearing through the next new novel, or listening to classical or French folk music while baking. She was also a fantastic cook.
A woman of strong faith, she met daily over the past several years with her close friend for bible readings.
Pam had a real sense of occasion and loved family gatherings. Known for her mischievous sense of humor, she crafted many a themed poem over the years for friends and family, eliciting peals of laughter from her audience. She loved gift giving, particularly her own meticulously hand-crafted items, whether it was Christmas cookies, toffee, beaded jewelry, or porcelain ornaments – often presented in the notorious ‘fake-out box.’
She is survived by her sisters Del Rey and Cyndie, brother Dennis, son Craig, daughters Gwen Fagan and Nicole Kordus, grandson Cole Kordus, and son-in-law Michael Fagan as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Veronica’s Church in Milwaukee, on the 30th of June at 11:00 am.
