Market to host mobile petting zoo this weekend

 

LANDRUM–Landrum animal lovers will be treated to a unique experience this weekend, with 

Zuber Mobile Petting Zoo of the Carolinas visiting the Landrum Farmers Market on Saturday, June 24. 

The traveling zoo was started by Katie Scruggs, of Dalmations Farm in Campobello, and Jessie Moyer, owner of Belle Terre Farm in Tryon. The two met through farm and veterinary work and founded Zuber to share their mutual love of animals.

The mobile petting zoo features an eclectic collection of animals ranging from Nigerian Dwarf goats, mini pigs, rabbits, goats, horses, chickens and emus.

“I absolutely love to see the kids’ and adults’ faces light up when they get to see our animals,” said Scruggs. “I think what Zuber does is amazing therapy with everyone.”

The Zuber Mobile Petting Zoo will be on location at the Landrum Farmers Market located at 102 N. Randolph Ave on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
