In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 24, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, Polk County Court heard 94 cases. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of crimes.
Ronald Dallas Dipple was convicted of failure to heed a light or siren. Dipple was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.
Alyssa Finocchiaro was convicted of driving while impaired. Finocchiaro was sentenced to 120 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, fined $100 plus court costs and must complete a substance abuse treatment program.
Kaia Savannah Fryling was convicted of felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Fryling was sentenced to six to 17 months in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation. Fryling must also obtain a substance abuse assessment and pay court costs.
Zariahan Jabar Goode was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Goode was sentenced to 22 days in jail, with 22 days time served.
Nathan Thomas Harrill was convicted driving without a license. Harrill was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.
Isaac James Hemphill was convicted of possession of marijuana ½ oz up to 1 ½ oz. Hemphill was fined $30 plus court costs.
Zachery Gage Jacobs was convicted of driving without a license. Jacobs was fined $30 plus court costs.
Darlyn Joyelle Land was convicted of simple assault. Land was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation. Land must also complete a mental health and substance abuse assessment.
Cory Shane Lindsey was convicted of possession of methamphetamine, hit and run with leaving the scene of a crime, reckless driving to endanger and resisting a public officer. Lindsey was sentenced to 9 to 20 months in jail.
Jose Ortiz-Gutirerez was convicted of speeding and failure to notify the DMV of address change. Gutirerez was fined $50 plus court costs.
Leslie Hardin Powell was convicted of driving without a license. Powell was fined $30 plus court costs.
Ethan Whisenant was convicted of speeding and driving without a license. Whisenant was fined $100 plus court costs.

The following persons were convicted of crimes.
Summer Battison was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Battison was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation.
Hunter Hayes Bradshaw was convicted of driving while impaired. Bradshaw was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation. Bradshaw must also complete a substance abuse assessment, surrender his license, and was fined $100 plus court costs.
Dejuan Dogget-Edwards was convicted of assault on a female. Dogget-Edwards was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with 10 days time served.
Rebecca Grindstaff was convicted of careless and reckless driving. Grindstaff was fined $50 plus court costs.
Rants Cameron Killman was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county, felony probation out of county, and driving while impaired. Killman was sentenced to 24 months in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation, was fined $200 plus court costs, and must complete substance abuse treatment.
Nathaniel Littlejohn was convicted of driving without a license. Littlejohn was fined $75 plus court costs.
Brandon Lee Mehl was convicted of unsafe movement. Mehl was fined $25 plus court costs.
Jason Mark Stanton was convicted of driving without a license. Stanton was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.
Devan Gordon Toney was convicted of driving without a license. Toney was fined $25 plus court costs.
Cristopher Wilson was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Wilson was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with 51 days time served.
Marcus Dean Wooten was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Wooten was sentenced to 37 days in jail, with 27 days time served.
