Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 17, with Judge Abe Hudson presiding, Polk County Court heard 143 cases. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

 

The following persons were convicted of crimes.

Beth Beamer was convicted of concealment/failure to report a death. Beamer was sentenced to eight to 19 months in jail, with 29 days time served.

 

Johnny Dean Belcher was convicted of driving without a license with license revoked. Belcher was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.

 

Miljenko Cizic was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Cizic was fined $98 plus court costs.

 

Jessica Davis was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Davis was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation.

 

Van Lear Greenlaw was convicted of possession of marijuana between ½ oz and 1 ½ oz. Greenlaw was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Edward Neil Griffin was convicted of speeding. Griffin must pay a fine of $30 plus court costs.

 

Craig Alan Guess was convicted of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.  Guess was sentenced to six to 17 months in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation, and must complete a substance abuse assessment.

 

Nathaniel Kento Insko was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Insko was fined $50 plus court costs.

 

Daniel Brian Ledford was convicted of driving without a license with license revoked. Ledford was fined $100 plus court costs.

 

Andrew Lubahn was convicted of speeding and careless and reckless driving. Lubahn was fined $98 plus court costs. 

 

Claire Moore was convicted of driving while impaired.  Moore was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, andwas fined $50 plus court costs.

 

Annie Mosteller Moss was convicted of unsafe movement in a vehicle. Moss was fined $30 plus court costs.

 

Ethan Nathaniel Olson was convicted of driving while license revoked. Olson was sentenced to one day in jail, with one day time served.

 

Jaalen Robinson was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Robinsonwas fined $50 plus court costs.

 

Morgan Rochelle was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Rochelle was fined $50 plus court costs.

 

Ursula Thompson was convicted of allowing dogs to run at large. Thompson was sentenced to five days in jail, suspended for six months of unsupervised probation.

 

Marcus Dean Wooten was convicted of assault on a female and resisting a public officer. Wooten was sentenced to 150 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of supervised probation, and must complete substance assessment and anger management treatment. 

 

Lequon Draquell Young was convicted of resisting a public officer. Young was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended for 12 months of unsupervised probation, and 20 hours of community service, and was fined $90 plus court costs.
