The newly named Tryon Car Wash and Laundromat is being renovated, with the car wash facility recently receiving a fresh coat of paint and new equipment. The properties are just next to Nature’s Storehouse and are being revamped by four locals.

“We have been driving by the rundown car wash and laundromat in Tryon for years and really want to bring the space back to life,” said Landon Schlabach, the CEO of BNB Breeze, a Vacation Rental Management Company and one of the local businessmen taking on the project. “We think it could be a great asset to the community.”

The other businessmen who came together to purchase and renovate the two buildings are Foothills Compost Removal owner Reece Schlabac, Holbert Grading and Excavation owner John Holbert, and Jon Byler, a real estate investor and pilot for Private Flights.

The car wash will have four self-serve bays with all new equipment and will feature an Autec Soft Touch Automatic Bay that can fit trucks up to seven feet tall. Once the car wash is up and running, renovation of the laundromat will begin.

The laundromat will be getting all brand new equipment and there are plans for a wash and dry fold service. There is currently no timeline for the laundromat to re-open.

“We are incredibly excited to be bringing this property back to life, and cannot wait to serve the community with squeaky clean cars and clothes in the future,” Landon said.

The laundromat is located at 381 S. Trade St., and the car wash is at 405 S. Trade St. The owners hope to have the car wash up and running by mid-May.
