Tryon– Burley G. Flynn, 84, of Tryon passed away on March 25, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of the late Glenn Thomas and Iris Wagner Flynn. He was married to Joan Miller Flynn for 63 years.

He retired from Milliken after 44 years and served in the US Army.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife Joan; a son Tim Flynn (Amanda); a daughter Tamara Scruggs (Greg) a sister Shirley Owens; and four grandchildren Samantha Elder (Ethan), Kyle Flynn (Allison), Ashley Johnson (Zane) and Amberlyn Scruggs;
three great grandchildren Maverick, Essa and Daxton.

He was predeceased by two brothers Terry Flynn and Harold Flynn.

The family will have a private service.
