Walker, Wallace & Emerson Realty is excited to announce the addition of Mary Scruggs and Haley Scruggs to their team.
“I am delighted to have Mary and Haley as part of the WWE family,” says Madelon Wallace.
Mary and her daughter-in-law Haley both bring varied interests and experiences with them. Mary spent her early years in Brevard, NC, where her father, Henry C. McDonald, Jr., designed and built homes, churches, and colleges in Western North Carolina. Brevard College was one of his most acclaimed designs. Her mom introduced her to the world of art and music. She moved to Spartanburg when she married her husband Rick and they raised three children. She spent 10 years teaching at Dorman High School and after that 20 years in Pharmaceutical Sales. She says her life experiences have taught her to appreciate the value and importance of professionalism, integrity, honesty, compassion, and complete transparency in every aspect of a transaction.
Haley is married to Mary’s son Rick and they have an eight-year-old daughter, Lizzy. The family of three are all “into the horses.” Rick trains horses and is a professional team roper.
Haley is a barrel racer and has worked and competed in numerous disciplines within the Western horse industry. Having met in Texas where they were both working in the horse industry, they decided to move back to the Carolinas where they both spent their childhood and have family. They bought property in Campobello and built a working horse farm where Rick trains and they board horses.
Most weekends you can find Haley and family at a rodeo or horse show. Haley is excited to start a new career in real estate and knows firsthand what it takes to own and care for horses and livestock. Her down-to-earth demeanor, determination and equestrian experience are sure to benefit her clients whether looking for farms, houses, or land.
Walker, Wallace & Emerson Realty welcomes them both and is looking forward to them being part of our real estate community.
