COLUMBUS–Green River Tavern recently relocated to a new unit in Columbus Commons.
Since opening in 2020, the Green River Tavern has become a local favorite. Its new location is opposite its original location, at 155 W. Mills St.
Jason Noffsinger, the owner of Green River Tavern, decided to move to the new spot to provide a better customer experience. The much larger, 4,000 sq. ft. location has been completely remodeled with new bar tops, 20 televisions, and a bar on the dining room side. It also has an expanded menu with new items, including chicken wraps and pizza, along with a pair of pool tables on the bar side.
“We moved here because we needed to expand, we needed more room, and there is nothing like the Green River Tavern in Polk County,” says Noffsinger. “We’re a restaurant where you can bring your family for a meal, or just come watch a game since we have all the sports and racing channels.”
Noffsinger also owns and operates Green River Cycle, which he adds “helped to build the tavern.” The motorcycle repair shop specializes in Harley Davidsons and offers maintenance, parts and a variety of apparel.
The Tavern will continue to host their weekly events with Bike Night on Friday, wings on Wednesday, live music on Friday, Karaoke Thursday and Saturday, and local musician Red Dog performing every 3rd Sunday.
Noffsinger encourages everyone to check out the new Green River Tavern.
“Come see us, play a game of pool or bring the family and enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains,” he says. “We’ve got one of the best kitchens in the area with new items and events planned for the summer, including a car show and bike show.”
Green River Tavern’s hours are Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. For reservations, contact them directly at (828) 802-1099.
