Owner of Ride EquiSafe at TIEC opens second storefront
LANDRUM––A new business catered toward horse riders and lovers opened in downtown Landrum on Black Friday.
Ride EquiStyle opened on November 25, owned by Catherine Winter and run by her mother Helene Winter. The equestrian-themed boutique sells clothes, shoes, accessories, and anything a horse lover could want.
Catherine is a current resident of Raleigh but started her business where she knew horses were rather popular. Her mother says, “She has been a rider all her life. She has always had horses and always competed.”
Helene said that when her daughter was searching for horse equipment, she came upon the idea to carry her own. Catherine also owns a storefront at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, called Ride EquiSafe. At Ride EquiSafe, riders can purchase air vests, body protectors, safety stirrups, helmets, and other apparel and accessories.
Helene says the new storefront landed in downtown Landrum because it was a good location among horse lovers.
“We became very interested in this beautiful location and beautiful store. It was perfect for what we wanted to do,” she says.
Ride EquiStyle is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the business on Facebook or call (828) 202-9811.
