The Polk County High School Bass Team kicked off its 2022-23 season on Saturday with a competitive day at the Palmetto High School Fishing Trail event on Lake Keowee.
Polk County had two teams compete – Banks Barber and the brother-sister team of Karsyn and Konner Huskey. Both teams weighed in fish, with Barber taking 13th overall with five fish and the Huskeys finishing 89th with one fish.
The event field included 131 teams.
The Polk Bass teams will next compete on December 3 at Lake Hartwell. Anyone interested in learning more about the team can contact Chauncey Barber at cbarber@polkschools.org.
