Sunny View– Susan Darlene Spivey, 69, of Sunny View, went to be with the Lord, whom she loved, on
November 2, 2022. A member of the Temple of Jesus in Bill’s Creek, she was faithful to God,
family, and friends. As a long-time retail clerk for McGuinn’s store, Darlene was well-known by
everyone in the community. She was an avid reader and writer, a watcher of old game shows
and Hallmark movies, as well as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Esther Iona Nelon, and her sister Jewel
Ann Cole, and her husband Norman Spivey. Celebrating her memory are her daughters, Dawn
Leah Milachouski, Jessica Spivey (Mike), granddaughters Morgan and Kieley Milachouski, a
grandson Gideon Raines, her brother Norman Nelon (Terressa), and many friends and
relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages
you to make a donation supporting Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in her honor. To her
wonderful nurses through Hospice, we give our most profound thanks. In a world that can be full
