The Tryon Halloween Stroll will be taking place along Trade Street on October 31, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help with the costume party and other aspects of the event.
Princesses, pirates, superheroes, and more will enjoy trick-or-treating during the annual event from 4 to 6 p.m., as downtown businesses will be set up to hand out candy and treats. It will be a great opportunity for kids and parents to enjoy trick-or-treating in a safe, supervised environment.
The costume contest will take place at 6 p.m. at the clock tower and the event is in need of volunteers. There are three age groups for the contest ranging from infants to 12 years, and there will be prizes given in three categories for each age group – funniest, most original, and scariest costume.
The Tryon Halloween Stroll is sponsored by Stott’s Ford, and is organized by Tryon Downtown Development Association and the Town of Tryon. To volunteer, please call Wanda May at 828-859-7684.
