Join Conserving Carolina and the Landrum Library for a free lecture entitled, “Ferns of the Carolinas,” presented by naturalist and educator, Tim Lee. The program will be held on Tuesday, October 4 at 6 p.m. at the Landrum Library, 111 East Asbury Drive in Landrum.

Ferns are familiar to just about anyone who spends time outdoors, whether in a natural setting or a planted garden. They can come in all shapes and sizes from the small Mosquito Fern to the large Royal Fern. Join naturalist Tim Lee as we explore the world of ferns and discover how to recognize the species that are found in the Carolinas.

Tim is native South Carolinian, and he has studied and taught as a naturalist and biologist throughout the southeast for more than 30 years. He is a coordinator and instructor for the South Carolina Master Naturalist Program and is an Educational Leadership Partner for the South Carolina Aquarium. Tim is member of the National Association of Interpreters and an honorary SC Statewide Master Naturalist and an honorary member of the Upstate Master Naturalist Association.

This lecture is part of Conserving Carolina’s monthly Speaker Series at the Landrum Library, and it is made possible thanks to the Landrum Library.
