LANDRUM––Landrum is kicking off the beginning of fall this Saturday, September 10, with its annual Hogback Mountain Day event. Each September, Landrum celebrates the end of summer with a fun day for members of the community to enjoy. This all-day event is packed with food vendors, vintage cars, live music and kid’s rides.
The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Landrum Farmers Market. The Mountain Market will be on Trade Avenue downtown, along with a petting zoo, and bluegrass music performances by Retro 78 Bluegrass. Those interested in donating blood will have the opportunity to do so at the event, as well.
Summer Sizzle, a highlight of the event, will be presented by The Well Church from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. This portion of Hogback Mountain Day includes carnival rides, free hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, and drinks, and live music to follow at the Farmers Market.
Robert Farmer of The Well oversees Summer Sizzle, saying, “We want to love and pour Christ on our community.” He quotes 1 John 4:9 by stating, “We love because He first loved us.”
The overall event will take place between the Landrum Farmers Market Pavilion and Trade Avenue periodically throughout the day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
