Town expects construction to be completed by July 25
TRYON – On Monday, July 11, construction began on a sidewalk replacement project on Pacolet Street in Tryon. The Town of Tryon expects the project to be completed by Monday, July 25.
Despite new businesses coming to Pacolet Street in the near future, Tryon Town Manager Zach Ollis confirmed that the businesses were not the reason behind the upgrades. “The sidewalk is just old and worn down. It has been around for multiple generations and the time has come to replace it with a fresh looking sidewalk that the people of Tryon truly deserve,” Ollis said on Monday.
Trace and Company Excavating and Paving will be conducting the sidewalk replacement. The Town of Tryon asks pedestrians and drivers to use caution when navigating Pacolet Street.
