City of Landrum comments on current status

 

LANDRUM––Popular small-town gossip and rumors are spreading around Landrum regarding what may be coming soon to the structure where Bi-Lo was before it closed last year.

 

Many have speculated on the status of the vacant building. Though word on the street says that Aldi’s is taking over the Bi-Lo building, the City of Landrum says otherwise.

Tricia Taber, public relations and marketing director at the City of Landrum, says, “There has been no paperwork or confirmation to the city from anyone at this time.”

Aldi headquarters recently told the Tryon Daily Bulletin, “It doesn’t look like we’ve got plans to come to Landrum just yet, but that doesn’t mean we never will.”

The Bi-Lo building in Landrum is still vacant and is not under contract with a buyer.
