February accident leaves child with minor injuries
LANDRUM––In February, a toddler on Clearwater Road in Landrum was accidentally run over by a tractor.
When Landrum Fire Department arrived on the scene, the toddler was breathing and crying, and was transported to Spartanburg Regional by helicopter.
Recently, the Tryon Daily Bulletin received an update on the child’s condition.
As a result of the accident, the boy received a concussion. He also had a bone bruise on his leg that made him unable to walk for the month following the accident.
The boy’s mother says, “The doctors were all shocked at how minimal his injuries were. It was a miracle he survived.”
According to Landrum EMS officials, the tractor ran over the toddler’s body vertically, but his bones were soft enough to endure the weight without taking much damage to his body due to his young age.
The boy still has to have MRIs to check his aorta artery, as it has an injured spot that is still healing.
His mother says, “We know God is good no matter what and He can fully heal him.”
