Driver flees after causing extensive damage

LANDRUM––At the Ingles Gas Express in Landrum, a gas pump and the surrounding structure was hit by a car, and the driver left the scene.

According to the gas station attendant, a woman ran into the brick column with her vehicle at the gas pump and then drove away. The damage to the brick work is extensive.

Pump 1/2 was struck on Wednesday, and the pump is currently out of order.

 

Ingles’ managers are unaware of the driver’s identity, and were not able to obtain any information or description of the vehicle. Despite the extensive damage made by the driver, Ingles did not make a police report.
