“It was like a family reunion”
CAMPOBELLO––On Saturday, Campobello presented their second annual Family Fun Day at Gib Gosnell Park.
The event lasted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and around 70 vendors that included homemade crafts, jump castles, a petting zoo, and churches. Several local authors were also at the event doing book signings, as well as local artists.
Campobello Town Council Member Alician Sprouse noted that it was a great turnout. “It was almost like a family reunion,” she says.
Sprouse says that when the Campobello first started the event two years ago, they wanted to reconnect with the community. She says, “Everyone is so busy doing their own thing and making their own way, and we just feel like there’s so many people in this community that could help one another. That was our whole point for doing this.”
Sprouse wants to thank everyone who made the Campobello Family Fun Day possible – including Campobello Police Department, Campobello’s town clerk, and all of the organizations that participated..
