Hooves for Heroes are a non profit organization that incorporates horses and other four-legged animals to help our veterans and service members and their families to deal with their daily struggles. Their purpose is to be dedicated to the support and well being of our National Service Men, Women and their families who sacrifice to serve, protect and care for our Country. They will also have other programs not associated with animals this coming year.
With the devastation that has taken place in Kentucky, they feel that their Organization can take a few days to make a trip up there with much needed supplies for our fellow Americans. They have a few donation drop-off areas as of right now, including SS Saddlery in Columbus, NC and Jerry”s Place in Inman, SC (next to Lake Bowan)
They will be accepting food, blankets, coats and gift cards for families, as well as toys for children and teenagers whose families have lost everything. Generators, tools for cleanup, shoes, boots, dog, cat, and horse feed are also being accepted for donation. Additionally, hay will be needed – preferably pelleted hay so more can be carried. Donations can be taken by calling Hooves For Heroes at 864-310-9748 or 864-431-8126 via venmo. People can visit their facebook page at Hooves For Heroes @hoovesforheroessc, or reach them via email at hoovesforheroessc@gmail.com.
