Commissioners approve budget amendment last week
COLUMBUS—The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved a budget amendment last week to pay out compensation time for its employees.
Commissioners met last week and heard from county manager Marche Pittman about the needed budget amendment.
The county does the budget amendment at the end of every year to pay employees for work they did over hours.
This year’s payout for all employees was $147,748.
Pittman said there are a few employees who have asked to retain some of their hours because they plan to use it soon.
