Columbus, NC—Jimmy Earl Kinkade, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Forest City Hospice House in Rutherfordton, NC.
Jimmy was the son of the late John and Madge Perry Kinkade. He proudly served his country in the Army for 3 years, two of which were in Germany. After his time in the service, he worked for the water treatment plant in Itasca Illinois until his retirement. In 2006, he and his wife moved to Polk County, NC. He attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbus, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bettina Kinkade; a son, Johnny Kinkade and seven siblings.
Surviving is his wife, Edith Kinkade; a son, Jimmy Kinkade Jr.; a daughter, Darlene Cecil (Chuck); two sisters, Mary Dean Mitchel and Brenda Sue Rolly; a brother, Mitchel Wayne Kinkade; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbus, NC with Pastor Nathan Deatrick officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Polk County Veteran Memorial Honor Guard.
