The Town of Tryon is seeking community input in its process of creating a new Land Use Plan — a document that acts as a road map to guide the town’s growth and development for years to come.
Engaging the public is a vital part of the planning process as it enables local staff and officials to understand what is most important to residents of Tryon as they look toward the future of their town. It also provides those who live in the area an opportunity to voice any hopes or concerns they have regarding Tryon’s growth.
The town has developed a survey to gather public opinions on land use, community character, growth management, local economy, recreation, and more. Feedback from the survey will be a key factor in shaping the new Land Use Plan and the policies that will likely stem from it.
All members of the community are invited to complete the survey, which is available online at www.tryonsurvey.com and in person at town hall. The survey will remain online, and can be returned to Town Hall, through November 30th.
Tryon also asks for the public’s help reaching as many people as possible. After completing the survey, we encourage residents to forward it to friends and family in town.
