Polk Sheriff’s Office searching for woman for larceny of Toy Run donations

GREEN CREEK—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a woman wanted for questioning for stealing a Polk County Toy Run jar. 

The incident occurred at the Dollar General in Green Creek. 

The Polk County Toy Run is held annually to raise money and toys for Polk County children in need for Christmas. This year’s toy run will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, where motorcyclists meet at the Saluda Fire Department and ride through the county to deposit toys at the Polk County Courthouse in Columbus. The event brings hundreds of riders and raises thousands of dollars for local organizations to distribute toys to children in need.
