Tryon– Noah M. Nolt, 73, of Columbus, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 18, 2021. Noah was the son of the late Jonas Nolt and Annie Martin Nolt. Noah owned and operated Nolt’s Seamless Guttering in Washington, IN for many years. He lived a life that embodied selflessness; a life devoted to serving and loving others. Noah and his wife Clara served at Fresh Start Rehab Facility in Washington, IN along with other ministry pursuits. In more recent years, Noah served as a Volunteer Chaplain at Tyger River Correctional and ministered to the homeless population in Spartanburg, SC. His well-known saying was “God loves you and so do I.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Hobbs; sisters, Lydia Glick, Mary Lavy, Martha Lavy, Annie Nolt, and a brother, Levi Nolt. Surviving is his wife, Clara Garber Nolt; his children, Rachel Raber (Lonnie), Reuben Nolt, Susannah Peachey, Ashley Nolt, Sally LaFluer and John Nolt; grandchildren, Joshua Hobbs, Kristina Ragan (Chris), Jeremey Hobbs, AJ Raber (Victoria), Kimberly Raber, Brandon Raber, Annie Peachey, Noah Peachey, Keegan Peachey, Christian LaFluer, Mercy LaFluer, and Justice LaFluer; great-grandchildren, Leah Ragan and Violet Ragan; a foster son, Erik Graber (Naomi) and a son-in-law Michael Hobbs. Also, surviving are his brothers, Jonas Nolt (Lydia) and John Nolt (Fannie) and sisters, Rebecca Gingerich (Amos), Esther Glick (Enos) and Ada Shirk (David).
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Foothills Community Chapel, 2720 Landrum Road, Columbus, NC.
A Funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Foothills Community Chapel, 2720 Landrum Road, Columbus, NC.
Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.
