Supplies needed for back to school supply drive
COLUMBUS—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus First Baptist Church are planning a Back to School Supply Drive and are asking for the public’s help.
The sheriff’s office is asking for supplies from the community to donate to Polk County students before school begins on Aug. 23. The donations are requested by July 30.
Supplies needed include composition notebooks, spiral notebooks, pencils, paper, pens, erasers, glue sticks, crayons, tissue, hand sanitizer, rulers, folders, colored pencils, pencil boxes/pouches and scissors.
All items must be new. Monetary donations are also being accepted.
The drop-off location for the supplies is at the sheriff’s office, location at 164 Government Complex Drive, Columbus.
