A boathouse on Lake Lanier caught fire Monday morning following the July 4th celebration. Local fire departments responded. The fire was at a boathouse in the 3rd basin of the lake. (Photo submitted)

Boathouse catches fire following July 4th

LAKE LANIER—Following the July 4th celebration on Sunday, a boathouse caught fire in the 3rd basin early Monday morning. 

Landrum and Tryon fire departments responded to the fire.

Local homeowners saw the fire early in the morning Monday and called for assistance. Local fire departments arrived quickly. 

No other information about the fire was available as of press time.
