COLUMBUS-Evangeline Robertson Beaumont, 100, formerly of Hyde Ave in Tryon, North Carolina, rose to Heaven on Easter morning, April 4, 2021, after enjoying her retirement at the Tryon Estates retirement community in Columbus for over 17 years.

Daughter of the late John Hugh and Susan Gilker-Robertson, “Eva” emigrated with her mother and older brother, Burns, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1925, after her father died and his hotel, The Cascapedia House, in New Richmond, Quebec, burned down. She completed her school years in Wauwatosa, WI before marrying Guy D. Beaumont in 1941.

Eve worked in Milwaukee at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company and at Allis-Chalmers, before raising her four children, Guy Jr, Holly, Hugh, and Nanette, in Milwaukee and Madison Wisconsin, Binghamton NY and Stamford CT. Eve and Guy retired to Tryon in 1986 and became faithful members of the Tryon United Methodist Church.
