Charlotte–Doris Jean Morrow Jackson, 88, of Charlotte, NC died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Aldersgate the Asbury Care Center in Charlotte, NC. Born November 17, 1932 in Pauline, SC, she was the daughter of the late Martha Bagwell and John Curtis Morrow. 

 

Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of both Winthrop University and Duke University. She taught in Bennetsville High School, Bennetsville, SC, Edmunds High School, Sumter, SC, and South Mecklenburg High School, Charlotte, NC.

 

Survivors include her husband, Daniel “Dan” T. Jackson of Charlotte, NC; sister, Margaret Floyd of Loganville, GA; nephews, Bob Floyd and wife Elizabeth of Loganville, GA and David Floyd and wife Christie of Suwanne, GA, and several cousins.

 

Visitation will be held 12:00-12:45 PM Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Philadelphia Baptist Church Sanctuary, with funeral services following at 1:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Michael Cummings. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 SC-56, Pauline, SC 29374.
