2 new blessing boxes installed in Tryon and Columbus
POLK COUNTY—Anyone in need of food and other nonperishable items have 2 new options in Tryon and Columbus.
New blessing boxes have been installed at Steps to HOPE in Columbus and at First Baptist Church of Tryon.
The Steps to HOPE box is located in the lower parking lot on Wall Street in Columbus and includes various nonperishable food items, toiletries and more.
Steps to HOPE also donated a box for First Baptist Church of Tryon, which is located in the parking lot across from the church in front of the Rock house on Pacolet Street.
The church’s box was installed by Steps to HOPE volunteers and will be kept stocked by the church family as well as the Rotary Club of Tryon.
The box reads, “Take what you need, give what you can.”
Church members said they know so many families are struggling at this time and wanted to do something to help.
There are several blessing boxes throughout the county and in Landrum that are kept stocked with food and other items people may need.
