TRYON-Robert Eugene Leidheiser passed away on Saturday, February 6, one day shy of his 92nd birthday.

He was the son of the late Conrad George Leidheiser and Anna Catherine Knott Leidheiser. He served in the military during the Korean War and retired from General Motors. He moved to Tryon in 1978 and was a member of Tryon Presbyterian Church.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Doris Leber, Esther McLane Marie Uther, Hazel Fletcher and brother, Paul Leidheiser.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Frances M. Robertson Leidheiser, his sons, Donald Leidheiser of Pensacola, FL, and William Leidheiser and wife, Tracey of Tryon; his grandchildren, Anna, Conrad, Del, Kendall and Madison; also are several  great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
